Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Palmyra is committed to doing all that we can to ensure the safety and welbeing of all our parishioners, visitors and staff from COVID-19.
The WA Government has implemented a staged lifting of COVID-19 restrictions based on the advice of the WA Chief Health Officer. The introduction of Phase 5 removes the remaining capacity restrictions in place for businesses and venues including the removal of the 2sqm rule.
In line with the Government of Western Australia COVID-19 Pandemic Phase 5 restrictions our church is open and operating at full capacity.
We continue to apply the following measures to minimise the spread of any potential outbreaks:

The Parish Council has prepared a COVID-19 Safety Management Plan to document and manage the Parish response to COVID-19. We invite and encourage all Parishioners and visitors to our church to read the COVID-19 Safety Management Plan and make themselves familiar with the controls in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community. We welcome any questions, comments or suggestions to improve the document.
This is a challenging time for everyone and we will continue to monitor the situation closely and remain committed to keeping our church a safe place to worship. We ask that you continue to look out for each other, maintain an effective social distance as much as possible and remain vigilant.

Get vaccinated for the common good: Vaccination against COVID-19 is a morally good thing, providing protection for the person vaccinated and the wider community. Some COVID-19 vaccines are associated with ethically questionable production and research practices, but Pope Francis and the Australian Bishops have advised that it is morally permissible to receive any vaccine made available.
